Amendment to the By-Laws:  An Additional Responsibility of the Senate Elections Committee

 

The Senate Elections Committee is charged with the responsibilities of conducting ballot initiatives, Senate elections, and University-wide elections (see By-Laws Section I D 6).

 

This amendment (in bold print below) adds to the Committee’s responsibilities, namely assisting Senate officers in identifying nominees for Senate representatives to various University standing and ad hoc committees and providing a slate of candidates for Senate offices.  

 

Section I D 6 will now be:

6.  Elections Committee

      1. Conducting ballot initiatives (VIII-D and Bylaws).
      2. Conducting Senate elections (Bylaws).
      3. Conducting University-wide elections (Bylaws).
      4. Assisting Senate officers in identifying nominees for Senate representatives to various University standing and ad hoc committees.
      5. Providing a slate of nominees for Senate offices.
