Bernie Anderson
It was a great to hear from our guest speaker, Bernie Anderson. This is Bernie's 22nd year with the Michigan Tech football program, and his 19th as the head football coach. What an incredible story the MTU football program has experienced over the past year. Our Director of Alumni Relations, Steph Olsson, was also on hand this year, and raffled off a table full of Michigan Tech prizes. It was definitely another first class event again this year. And a big THANK YOU Bernie Anderson!
In addition, Steph conducted the drawing for the annual fishing charter trip to benefit the West Michigan Scholarship fund. This year's winner was our very own John Gutierrez. One of the ways we are raising money for the scholarship fund is through a raffle our chapter holds annually to offer the chance at a winning a fishing charter trip on Lake Michigan for up to 4 people. Proceeds from the raffle support the MTU West Michigan Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fishing charter trip is donated annually by Chris Andersen (MTU '82), of Andersen Charter Service in Arcadia, Michigan. This is the fifth year we have held the raffle.
