Terry Woychowski
It was a great dinner and Terry Woychowski, our guest speaker, was outstanding. There were a lot of comments on how impressed everyone was with the program. Although we missed our Director of Alumni Relations, Stef Olsson, this year, Jim Mitchell and Kevin Grzelak filled in nicely. We especially appreciated the high quality door prizes sent from Tech which added a nice final touch to the program. It was definitely a first class event all the way around!
In addition, the West Michigan Chapter conducted the drawing for the annual Fishing Charter trip! One of the ways we are raising money for the scholarship fund is through a raffle our chapter holds annually to offer the chance at a winning a fishing charter trip on Lake Michigan for up to 4 people. Proceeds from the raffle support the MTU West Michigan Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fishing charter trip is donated annually by Chris Andersen (MTU '82), of Andersen Charter Service in Arcadia, Michigan. This is the fourth year we have held the raffle.
The Mackinac Bridge Authority has awarded to the West Michigan Chapter of the MTU Alumni Association its very own certificate for two persons to ascend to the top of the north or south tower to view the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge. The winner of the tower tour certificate entitles the holder and one guest to tour the bridge at a scheduled time between May 1, 2004 and October 15, 2004. Proceeds from the raffle also support the MTU West Michigan Endowed Scholarship Fund.
