We always said we wanted to try something a little bit different for an alumni event, and this time we really came upon a great idea...
Many of you will remember Marie as the former owner of Marie's Deli in downtown Houghton. She and her son Fouad opened their new restaurant at the corner of Lake Drive and Diamond Street in Grand Rapids less than a year ago and have found their offerings to be very popular with Grand Rapids' palates. Marie's was recently named "Best New Business" in the 16th Annual Neighborhood Busines Awards presented by the Grand rapids Neighborhood Business Specialists Program.
The West Michigan Chapter, always looking for new ideas, decided to give her a try, and, wow, what a treat!
