This year's Whitecaps BBQ turned out to be yet another success.  On Friday, July 31, 2004, a beautiful summer Saturday evening, 56 alumni and family were part of the 4th largest crowd in Whitecaps history as the Whitecaps hosted the Peoria Chiefs.  The Whitecaps pounded out a 7 run lead, only to let it slip away in the tenth inning.  The final score: Peoria Chiefs 9, and the West Michigan Whitecaps 7.  Alumni, family, and friends enjoyed an all-you-can-eat BBQ, a free raffle for MTU stuff, and a great fireworks display after the game!  Most importantly, everyone enjoyed socializing with other MTU alumni.
Jim Mitchell also filled us in on the upcoming Bash at the Big House coming up on November 6, 2004.
