The 7th Annual West Michigan Alumni Association Golf Outing is now a part of history. It was once again held at the beautiful Saskatoon Golf Club in Grand Rapids. 36 participants attended this year's event on a nice early June day. The scramble format started at 8:30 AM on the par-35 red nine, and finished on the challenging gold nine. All teams finished by 2:00 PM and headed to the clubhouse to enjoy grilled hamburgers, potato salad and other "liquid refreshments" on the outdoor patio. There were two corporate sponsors this year: Price, Heveveld, Cooper, DeWitt & Litton, and Driesenga Associates, Inc. Signs were posted at the tees. A big THANK YOU goes out to our sponsors!
Steph Olsson, our Director of Alumni Relations from Michigan Tech, attended the event and awarded prizes to the top teams, closest to the pin and the longest drives. All participants received some form of prize for participating in this year's outing. Steph also updated the group on what is happening at Michigan Tech.
